I found a copy of Destroyer's "Trouble in Dreams" for five bucks today and decided to give a chance. Honestly, I didn't really care for it but sometimes that's the price you pay for taking a musical risk. However, one album that IS great is the debut from Chvrches (yes, that's actually how they spell it).

One time I was asked to do an audition for a choir at my university before I attended it. And the director assumed that I knew Amazing Grace. I do know the way it sounds, but don't quite know all the lyrics. So much of the audition I was singing even quieter so I could try to hear what he was singing and then he would sing quieter trying to hear me… I didn't do so well on that audition. My church actually sings this version. Perhaps that's why I don't actually know the lyrics to the regular song. I probably should have told him I didn't know the lyrics… but he was already looking down on me…. didn't want to add that to it.

^ Heh. We're all guilty of things like that sometimes. Afraid to admit that we don't know something or can't do something... if we're lucky, we end up regretting it, so the next time we'll just admit the truth and be better off

The new Switchfoot album is amazing. It's nice to see them stepping out of their comfort zone and doing something different.
