| Okay, let's talk about cooking.
What would you like to cook? What have you cooked? What will you cook?
Show pics, post recipes, ask for advice... | |

| In the summer the crock pot is the best! Any good ideas? I really like a recipe for BBQ brisket I have somewhere... Hmm, I have a brisket in the freezer... | |

| I wanted to make a video, but cooking is enough work by itself. I took pics, though! | That looks good Strider... except for the carrots. How did it taste in the end? What kind of spices did you use? I like to make caramel - but I like to store it at room temperature when done for it to be the best - since it's summer it's too warm to do that.. so I won't be making it until it cools down again. - Caramel:

| Spice... garlic, basil, thyme, Italian seasoning... It's quite good; a keeper! It's Sharon's recipe; I can't take credit for that | |

| My friend and Sharon told me about cooking with coconut oil. So I've been using it for everything from eggs to turkey burgers and chicken breasts. So good and very, very healthy. I even use it to saute my mushrooms and peppers that I use in my eggs and top my meats with. |

| I love using the crock-pot in the summer! My favorite way to make pot roast is: a can of coke, a bottle of chili sauce, 2 cloves of garlic, and a chuck beef roast. Put it all in the pot and cook on low for 6 hrs. | |

| I wish I could post pictures with my phone. Although, right now college living has reduced my pallet to less refined foods like sugarless cereal, bananas and toast. lol | |

| My signature dish. Ranchero steak seasoned with orange juice, salt, pepper, cayenne, and cilantro. Side salad with avocado, onions, tomatoes, corn (though you don't have to add that I just put it for fun), cilantro, sea salt, and extra virgin olive oil. | Well I gave all the ingredients...I don't use an exact measurements, I just put in however much I like of something. If i am making it for a large number of people, I will use 2 or three 3 onions or tomatoes depending on the number of individuals. For the ranchera I use 2 oranges to juice, and salt, pepper, cayenne to taste. If you like it extra spicy use more cayenne. Speaking of alfredo, I made a chicken alfredo pizza for lunch today and topped it with fresh avocado. this is what happens when I don't work in the afternoons. lol.
