| I skipped toes because I have a serious dislike for them. August 3rd Books. I received this as a gift from my best friend when she went to Egypt. The journey was made for me and she picked the engraving on the side and bottom is my name in Egyptian. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Thank you! I have more books, but these are some my most prized, so I figured I'd just do a pic with them. And yes, 'Great Expectations' is amazing...I think it's probably one of the best stories ever written.
And I love how you did your pic!! It's so cute!

| Probably true; and definitely my favorite Charles Dickens book. ^_^
My picture is of course only a few of my favorite books as well... can't fit all my books in a picture.. it would be too boring and everything would be too far away to see what the titles were.

- ^ Yeah, see that was another reason why I didn't include them all. Just some of the best... I can't decide what my favorite Charles Dickens (who is one of my favorite authors) book is. I usually get to Great Expectations and A Tale of Two Cities and then find myself at a loss. Haha.
I haven't read a tale of two cities yet, but I will someday. I bought it from a library bookstore sale for $0.25 at some point.. so it's sitting on my shelf to read. I don't think it will beat Great Expectations though... but I could be surprised. I originally watched a black and white movie of Great Expectations when I was a little kid and liked it a lot so eventually read the book.

| Apricity, I so like that leather book. When I search for journals, I have to like the way it feels in my hands. There's something about texture. I like a lot of the other photos as well. I've not enough room for my books in my house. I put stacks of them behind my head board and positioned the bed at an angle to give room to hide them. Most of mine might boor others as they are mostly reference. | |

Thanks. They're my oldest and most valuable (money wise) books. I've been thinking about donating them because I feel guilty that I've kept them all to myself. |

| I don't have books that old but I we do have and English/Armenian dictionary we found at a garage sale over 25 years ago. It saved my parents for years! I remember when we got it the person who sold it said he didn't know what language it was and never heard of Armenians. It's amazing how we just happen to be there at that time! I also have old story books that I can't give away at all! Ill give them to my kids someday. | |
