| Sometimes I wonder what can be said to friends on Facebook who I know are currently missionaries or living in muslim countries.
One of my friends is a Christian in a mostly muslim country but he's not a missionary - though I only talk to him over instant messaging rather than facebook. I never considered being secretive of his personal religion though. I guess it seems different for missionaries. But I guess it also really depends on politics and religion in the areas they are in.

| Taking on a new job is always exciting, except for when the person who's showing you the ropes is on her last day and leaves you with a mass of overwhelming information and loads of work that you need more training to really understand. Yeah, this is going to be interesting... | |

It depends. Sometimes foreign missionaries are not welcome in certain countries. So the foreign missionaries have to be secretive about their purpose in the country. Locals are a different story cause they can sort of blend in and still try to do the lords work without attracting unwanted attention from those who wish to do Christians harm.

| It's so weird this time, I sat in front of this really attractive girl that behind me next to one of my acquaintances, and the three of us got in conversation during break time in our night class. She seemed nice, friendly, easy to talk to, and seemed to smirk at the same jokes from the prof I did. I drove home thinking "nope, I want to be with Haley. I made the decision to pursue her and am going to do that." | |

| Everywhere I look, I see signs and messages telling me things like "You can't outgive God" and "Don't keep it all for yourself"... I'm so glad God is willing to communicate with us. | |

| This has been on my mind for the last few days, so I just want to get it off my chest. My younger cousin (whom I love dearly and think of as more of a sister) recently ended a 2 year relationship in May, and has since decided that she doesn't want a relationship for the time being. However, she has a FWB relationship with a guy since the breakup. I understand her need for companionship when she was so lonely and heartbroken...and she doesn't consider herself a Christian 'right now' so she isn't bothered by what she's doing, but she keeps going on and on about it, making me feel a little uncomfortable.
Then, at my sister's baby shower, a lot of the women my age in my family were talking about how important it is to live together first before getting married. My sister even went so far as to say that she would not let her daughter get married until she had lived with her boyfriend first (I'm not too sure how serious she was on that though). It was a little weird hearing all of this from my family members, when I don't usually have these kinds of conversations with them. And then being around them makes me feel like maybe I'm doing this whole dating thing "wrong." Just my feeling from the past few days of hanging around these ladies.

| They're the ones who are wrong, Jess. I know it's easy to be swayed when you're surrounded by worldly people who try to lean on their own understanding. But you know what is right, so you have no excuse to do otherwise ------- https://cconnect.forumotion.com/viewtopic.forum?t=245 | |
