| I feel like my mind is shutting down lately. I just have a week to get all of this homework done, then I will be free, but I can't seem to motivate myself to do it, even though I have more homework due this finals week than I did the rest of the other weeks of this semester, which I can't afford to procrastinate any longer for. Just have to get through this week. | |

| My sister had a check up with her midwife. Apparently the baby is on it's way to possibly being over ten pounds at the time of birth. I hope everything is going to okay and that's not a sign of complication. | |

Wow. No, that's not a sign of complications, sometimes babies are just that big. I have a friend that was 12lbs at birth...he's now 6'4" 225.

I was 4,5 and a little more kg at birth (so that's about 9 pounds, right??) But I was born 2 weeks after the expected date. I don't think that would be something to concern right away. one of my sisters was even heavyer, haha

There usually aren't complications I don't think, so hopefully nothing to worry about.

A big baby is a big baby...there's nothing you can do about it and the typical 'complication' that comes with an extra big baby is simply the mother having to strain more to push the kiddo out. Doctors usually start wringing their hands and instilling fear in the mother that the baby will be 'too big' to come out naturally and insist on an unnecessary C-section.
Look. I know a woman who gave birth to a 12-pounder. Everything went fine. It was a challenge getting the kid out...but he came out eventually. Lol. ...I also know a woman who gave birth to twins who weighed 8 pounds each. Those are some big twins. Again, everything went fine. Let natural take its course.
