Right now I'm trying to figure out if there is a difference between these two bottles of shampoo, other than just labeling. Since the company redesigned the labels recently I wonder if they changed the name too or if it's different.
I love this thread. Haha. Thanks for starting this.
I use L'oreal and Schwarzkopf for shampoo and conditioner. Keratase is a very good product but soo expensive. I use any brand for my weekly deep conditioner but I always end up with the L'Oreal or Schwarzkopf. I also use olive oil, mayonnaise, coconut milk and beer for hair conditioning - separately, not together. Go to the kitchen for hair care.
I am trying to find a no fragrance, no paraben and no color hair product which is good for my hair because I am trying to ONLY buy "friendly" and less harsh products. I have not found one yet.
I have my hair cut every 2-3 months. For the next year or so, I will only do trim because I plan to have it grow. I miss my long and wavy (another word for unmanageable) hair.

Ninzae someone from my church texted me a couple weeks ago telling me about eggs or beer for taming hair. I kinda laughed and didn't text back. (I had been talking about it previously with her so she was texting me tips she found) Yeah long wavy or curly hair = unmanageable hair; especially when it's really thick. But it's still fun to have long hair.
I don't really know what to do with my hair at the moment. I'm gonna see if this shampoo helps it. I think I've figured out that it's the same product they just changed the words on the label a little.
Step 2. Enjoy not having to take care of your hair
If I was a guy I'd totally do that.
I encourage my brothers to get buzz cuts. But then I think they look good with buzz cuts instead of longer hair, generally.

I've even heard peanut butter for some odd reason. Maybe the oils.
I've heard that if you get gum in your hair you can get it out with peanut butter or mayonnaise.. So everyone keep that in mind if you ever have to take care of a kid with long hair. They might appreciate not having to have their hair cut. (make sure they aren't allergic to peanut butter though...)

What kinda shampoo and other products do you like to use? And how do you brush or comb your hair? Do you cut it often? Have a preferred style?
I use Organix shampoo/conditioner. Though, if I were to use something that's seriously amazing but filled with chemicals, then I'd definitely use Redken. But alas, I'm too much of a weirdo about what I use on my hair. Lol.
The only time I regularly got my hair cut was when I had very short hair. Short hair styles need attention constantly, otherwise your hair will look hideous. You always have to style it every day if you want it to look nice...and that gets really old quick. It's one of the reasons I finally went "the heck with it!" and began growing my hair out again. Though, I will say, I've never been complimented about my hair as much as I did when it was short, lol. Everyone loved it short. I liked it short too, but again, I was so burnt out on styling it every day. Ugh.
Now that my hair is long my life is easier. I don't think I'll be cutting it again anytime soon. And I'm not sure I have a preferred hair style.

DITR..yes eggs is for conditioning. The egg yolk only. : )
Oooh. You know, I read a long time ago that that's what women used (eggs, or egg yolks) to wash their hair with back in the day. Or around the turn of the century or so.

Reasons I don't shave my head: A) It's a lot of surface to cover B) It gives me a headache.
But at least I know I look just fine without hair, if it should ever fall off.
Cool, I think I'll go out with the guys for some, uh... hair care products
Hahaha
have fun

I use a Wen drugstore knockoff called Ren and another called Salon Graphic. It's a conditioning cleanser so it doesn't lather. It's supposed to be better for your hair. I have noticed a difference. My hair is softer and more voluminous.

If you want to talk about your fancy beards that's okay too. But it has to be fancy.
I use a Dessert Essence Organics Shampoo. It is completely natural, and supposed to be safe for the skin and hair. I always try avoiding any products with parabens or other bad chemicals. I also use olive oil on my hair as a conditioner, and I mostly put it in my hair and scalp about an hour or so before I shower (I add different essential oils to it as well to make it smell nice). I do have a bottle of Suave conditioner, but I only use it about once every few weeks, since it doesn't have as good ingredients and I try avoiding getting anything on my skin that has certain chemicals. I also only wash my hair twice a week, sometimes once. My hair stays clean that long, and I don't want to wash it too much, because it can make the ends dry and weaker. I also try using an aloe vera mixture on my scalp some days (when I remember).
Basically, I take care of my hair how I learned from tutorials that India women posted on youtube, and some websites I read. Their hair is so long, thick, and healthy, so I tried it, and I think it really does help make the hair healthier doing it this way. I suppose it might sound a little weird. :/
I mostly use a wide tooth comb on my hair, and after I have untangled it, I will use a soft boar bristle brush to smooth it out. I also trim my hair about once a year. Last time I trimmed an inch off in January, so I guess I don't trim a lot off, usually just as much as I need to.
Here is a picture of what I usually use. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
