I wonder how often women caught their skirts on fire while cooking a long time ago. Because cooking with a long skirt seems like it could be dangerous.

Pretty sure I would have been one of those women who caught their skirt on fire.

Ultimately leading me to rebel against the typical clothing fashion for women and wearing pants. Oh yeah. Cool Superman

Yeah... I'd probably be like that too. So far I haven't caught my hair on fire cooking yet either. I hope that doesn't change.

I don't know if I'd be brave enough to rebel though. I'd probably just try to be extra careful.

Though my cooking skills means that I burn myself more often than I burn the food. Suspicious

I guess that's better for anyone eating my food... but not so fun for me..

I should probably be getting to bed considering I won't be going to be again until Saturday, but I need to wait on this laundry...

I cook all the time with long skirts and dresses. I wear them all the time, but I have never had a problem with catching one on fire (even while having a campfire). The only problems have been when I'm climbing trees (or such similar activity) and my dress gets caught on a branch. Razz But that doesn't happen much. Very Happy

You're so cool Apricity. ^_^ What's your favorite type of tree to climb?

I used to have a mulberry tree I'd climb and look down at people.. they never thought to look up and see me in the tree. Evil

Unfortunately the tree got cut down.

I was cooking wearing a long skirt today.. and I don't normally. I was just thinking about it though. Maybe some people are more clumsy than others. Very Happy

I'm always afraid that I will drop all the food I just cooked on the floor after spending so long making it. Very Happy I don't think it's happened yet.. but it crosses my mind sometimes... Razz

Hmm, I suppose any kind of tree that I would find climbable. :DMostly I climb white pines, oak trees, and maples. Very Happy

That sounds like a lot of fun! I've always loved doing stuff like that, haha. Very Happy That's too bad the tree is down now though. We have this one big tree back in the woods from our house that takes about three people to reach around (I think, can't remember exactly since it has been so long since we reached around it). But I have enjoyed climbing that one.

Oh, yeah. I think I am used to wearing them, but I certainly can understand what you mean! Very Happy I have also had those same fears too. I'm not sure if I'm clumsy or not, but I have spilled and dropped things before, hasn't happened in a while though and never anything serious. Very Happy

^ Hey! My neighbor where I used to live has a mulberry tree. Very Happy It's so big. Every time the berries came we'd get a big bowl from the house and go pick them. They were so good. ...But walking under the tree was like stepping through a mine field. The bottoms of our shoes looked like we trekked through puddles of blood because of all the smashed berries. Lol.

Hmm, you need to find one then, but as long as you don't fall. Very Happy

That is really funny! Very Happy I don't know if I have ever seen a mulberry tree before. We have wild service berry trees and choke cherry trees (one plumb tree too), but that's about it for fruit trees that I have come by in our woods.

Someone said I looked like Keith Urban when I had hair.

One more "look like" to add to the list.

What's on your mind? - Page 21 1b38f9e2And here I thought I was uniquely sexy. Guess not if everyone keeps telling me I look like other people.

Oh well, at least there is still only one Toro, Im sexy and amusing. So that is my uniqueness I suppose. Sput!
