Yes. That's why we can't cut ties just yet, we need to switch to 'lurking' for a while and see what happens.

We need a 'secret handshake' for this joint. ...It needs to be treated like a 'speakeasy'.

Kinda like a "First rule about secret lair, you don't talk about the secret lair in public" sort of think lol. Yes, indeed. Which is why we need to perform background checks and interviews of people who get an invite to the forum. Just to make sure they aren't spies.

We really do need to keep quiet on CF about this. Also, slowly back away...if a mass exit happens at once, even to lurking, people will get suspicious. - Jess9450 wrote:

| Horrible day. I was startled by the sound of water dripping. I went into my living room and found the ceiling was leaking Water. So I rush to get a bucket. I go into the attic and my gas furnace is leaking massive amounts of water.
Now I called a furnace guy and then I got to call a contractor to fix the ceiling piece that has water damage. Im sure its gonna cost my like a thousand bucks just to get this stuff fixed. Crazyness.

| In other news, Gosh im so frustrated. Does anyone in this Country Still like working anymore.
So I call the furnace guy. And here is how the conv goes.
Me: Hi my furnace is leaking massive amounts of water. Can you come out and take a look?
Furnace Guy: Well I just got back from a job. Also in order for me to come out on a weekend it will cost more.
Me: OK how much more.
Furnace guy: Well normal $ 125 for weekdays and $150 for weekends.
Me: Ok, that's fine.
Furnace guy: where are you located?
Me: im in town XYZ.
Furnace guy: Ohh that's like 15 to 20 miles from me. So that is gonna cost a little more.
Me: Ok that's fine. How much to take a look and fix whatever problem there might be?
Furnace guy: well depending on the issue it could be around 4 to 5 Hundred bucks.
Me: OK that's fine. Just come on out and take a look at it.
Furnace guy: Ok ill be there in couple of Hrs.
30 Mins later: Furnace guy calls : "The traffic is really bad here. Its gonna take me longer to get there. So im thinking you might just wanna get someone closer to you to do it".
Me: Ok if you cant make it that's ok..
I mean It may have been a bit foolish to just agree at whatever price he was throwing out. But it seems like its almost impossible to find people who wanna do a job.

| Um, no. I'm glad he decided to be bum about the whole thing because I think you should find someone else. I wouldn't trust that dude to work on my furnace. Nope. And for that price? ...Find someone you feel will do a good job and is at least a 'little' enthusiastic about his job, especially if you're going to pay that price. But then again, I'm not sure what a good price for fixing that kind of problem usually is.
I like finding older men do jobs like that. They always seem to understand what they're doing better. No offense to young guys, I'm just saying.
