Tonight was senior night for our high school band. It was two fold for me. It was the first senior night I've attended this year and started to hit me that Thing 1 is graduating. :(Secondly, they invited the 8th graders to play with the high school band and Thing 2 was able to hang out with them and play. He was very excited.
Anywhoo...during the regular season the band performs their show at half time then before they march back to the school the play "Amazing Grace" while still in the stands. Since tonight was senior night they performed their show after the game and played "Amazing Grace" while still on the field. I had never seen them perform the Amazing Grace and was actually tearing up, so I thought I'd share it with you as well.

Nice video Toro. Now I know how you drive!
For some reason I always enjoy watching the driving videos that others have been posting here, lol.
Thank you, actually I was driving a little less...... "spirited" than normal.
I need to either find a working idle control (its close to 400 bucks for a new one since my car is so old) or figure out the vacuum leak so it will purr like a kitten again instead of sounding so rough (as in the video)

It's because they are confident that you are their owner. I was walking my dog once with my bike, and we saw a puppy. So my dog peed on my bike to claim me as her owner and to keep the puppy away. I think it must have been a moment of insecurity. :p I was so glad I brought my bike.
Well then, doggies must like me since they keep peeing on me if I stand still.

Interesting video, Toro. You remind me of my one friend Matt. He's crazy too
When everyone makes driving videos, the land looks so flat to me. I'm surrounded by hills and mountains... and I like it that way!

This side of Texas, IS flat.
After all, I live closer to the bayous of Louisiana than I do the deserts and hills of west / central Texas.

Thing 1 doesn't play but Thing 2 plays trumpet. I was only at the senior night because the 8th graders got to play with the high school band. It's kind of their introduction to the high school band and help them decide if they want to join or not. I haven't talked to Thing 2 since then (he's camping with friends) so I'm excited to hear how his night went.

Thank you. I love that kitty. The trees I zoomed in on are palm trees.. I just zoomed in to show off "autumn" in Southern California. ^_^ We have deciduous trees and evergreen trees. ^_^

Oh and.......

Due to kitty video, this is what I shall think of when I picture The Jedi Flower.
To bad its not a dandelion she is holding in the picture.... it would have been total win.

SE Texas is flat, you just don't notice it because of the trees. I'm in the northwestern edge of the hilly parts, go about an hour and a half northwest, and it's flat.

Oh, I notice it. Thats what I was saying.
Central/West it's not the Himalayas, but.... its A LOT more scenic than these parts.
Any natural elevation here is down.
Even our "mass transit" train is flat.... not above ground or below ground.... like other cities... NO, we build at road level. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

You're welcome :DI don't speak because when I wanted to be able to walk on land I traded my tongue to the sea witch. The Prince married someone else though and I learned my lesson. But alas I have no tongue. Oh. Wait...
Also sorry that video was probably too revealing.
I'll wear gloves and socks next time...
