We're having a potluck at church tomorrow, so I made cookie salad. Anyone familiar with that?

It was pretty good. It took a lot of thyme, though.

I never seem to have enough thyme to make everything I want to make.

Okay, I'll stop now.

Does anyone know of any good coconut cream pie recipes? I was thinking about making one for tomorrow. But I might not have enough time to go out to the store - but I might be able to ask a family member to go out.

Take a bowl, cool whip and coconut shavings. Stir the shavings and cool whip. Then buy a pre-made crust and put the mix into it. Bake until crust is golden brown Very Happy

My sister has an amazing coconut cream pie recipe. It's one of the best I've ever tasted. I'd have to get the recipe from her though, but it might be harder to make than some recipes...it's definitely more 'homemade', so it's a longer process to make. This might be too much to do for tomorrow. Lol. Very Happy But I'll gladly share the recipe sometime if you're interested.

The next best coconut cream pie I've tasted was store bought. Store bought isn't always the greatest, but this one was excellent. Unfortunately I can't remember what brand it was. ...Some help I am. Sorry LOL.

I decided that I'm going to aim to make coconut cream pie for Christmas instead since my mom and aunt are making enough sweets for tomorrow as it is. Smile
I think it seems like homemade would be better than store bought but I've had store bought kinds before. Anything coconut I usually like. ^_^
I didn't like the coconut drink starbucks had a year ago though... that was just gross.
