It's a strange feeling

I've know many of you for 3 years now and though I have not met all of you apart of me feels like I have.
I see so many of you in my dreams.
I think of you daily!
I pray for you.
When you don't post I get a bit anty and wonder if you are okay....
Like my mother who calls me ten times if I don't pick up! Bc calling me 9 times in a row would get my attention when I'm busy!


Do any of you feel this way?

I don't know it's a strange and amazing community we have built. And I'm glad we have broken the Internet barriers and allow for trust and friendship. Also, accepting each other in our good and bad times.

I pray for many of the online friends that I have made. I'm not big on giving prayer requests or telling others I am praying for them (not sure why?) but I do pray for y'all often and thank God that I "met" many wonderful people who have influenced my life even just a little.

I would love to end up meeting every single person posting here.

there are so many that I feel that way about. Some just feel like I've known forever and like we've actually "met" even though we haven't. It is strange, its not just words on a screen to me. but real people who I care about a lot and am so thankful to have in my life.

I cant say I dream about anyone really as I don't think I dream (least I wake up with no dream memories very often)

But, Yes.. I feel the same.

But, LT and Ethie and the rest of the lovely ladies on CC.... it IS perfectly normal to dream of the Toro.....   After all..... I AM very handsome in a goofy lookin sort of way.

I don't think that I have had any of you in my dreams, but then again, the chances of remembering dreams is very low. I do get concerned about you guys, and do consider you guys to be friends.

It's kinda funny though, I was thinking about this the other day as I was driving and thought how crazy it was that I have friends that actually live in other places that I've never actually met.

I married someone I met from the group Is that breaking the internet barriers enough? Ha ha.

I did tell Mary once, "The only good thing I got from CF was you."

you guys meet on CF , I didn't know that. That is very cool to know.

don't think iv dreamed of anyone. But I do feel the concerns the highs and the lows with the friends iv made here.

If someone is having trouble at their job, I feel that concern. If someone gets something they had been praying for, I feel that joy. Caring about people you have never physically meet is the essence of what this whole internet experience is like. YOu start to care about the people you talk to and communicate with.

There are some newer members that I don't know (or I don't think so, unless i'm not recognizing people). But the ones I do know, oh my word, yes. I think about you all quite a bit, add y'all to my prayer lists and I do have dreams about you - admittedly the ones I've talked to more or met.

The other day I dreamed about BeautyforLashes. On FB she always posts the bounty from her garden and in my dream I was in her garden watering her plants. =D

I've had dreams with people from CF in it before.
And if I don't hear from someone in a while I worry.

It's nice to hear I'm not the only one! You guys frequently appear in my dreams. Sometimes, you're part of the plot, but other times you just happen to be there doing random things. For instance, part of a dream may involve going to a party, and we might talk or hang out while I'm there, but the dream may have a trajectory of its own, and you just happen to be there. Almost like extras in a movie, or friends who are off doing their own things. Either way, I think it's pretty cool.

That's like my dreams though I often have very bizarre adventures in my dreams. Like exploring the ocean for islands, or going through a strange factory; or being a spy or something; or playing a game in my church's gym.

Lots of dreams with y'all in them. I thought I was strange.

This thread's timing is just perfect. I was seriously wondering if I was really strange because yesterday I dreamt about so many people whom I have met online/CF... now CC lol.

Although I have met some of you, I dream about many people I have never met. But more than dream, I often think of so many of you. It's little things that remind me of you during the day. I find myself thinking and praying for you guys so often. Even those who I am not very close to, it really doesn't matter. Once you are in the family I treat you like family LOL.

And yes, I worry quite a bit when people disappear and I don't really know any other way of contacting them. Sounds a bit creeperish to people who don't understand, but I know you all know my heart is good and I just want to make sure things are alright.

It's a strange concept to older people, and those who aren't as connected online. But, I am glad to know that many of you feel similarly.

I do very much think about a lot of you guys even if a lot of you don't know me, and I don't know y'all. But you guys do make it into my mind from time to time. And yeah, I do have dreams about some of you which is awesome because I take those as little reminders to pray for you guys.

Some of you all have been real blessings to me! *hugs*

I've had a couple of CFers pop up in my dreams.

This isn't the first close net group on a forum I have been a part of, but then, I haven't been a part of to many.

The car enthusiast group forum I am part of for my car is pretty close as far as being helpful and like family, but this one is closer than that it feels. While they are (mostly) nothing but guys talking cars, putting together group buys for "one off" parts such as headers, mufflers, strut bars and tie bars and everything else. The followers on a forum for a 20+ year old car dwindles as time passes (only the true remain, which I guess is why they missed me, I didn't go there much since I joined CF but I still love my car)

This one however, has at least a center to it that lasts forever, Christ. So we are already one part of a body so, its difficult (at least it should be) to fight and bicker for long periods of time with those that love you (or should)  even if they don't like you.

In the car forum, I get connections to parts for my car, guys to roll with when they are in town. (Yes, we all drive our cars in line.... the last meet up we had was with police escort..... coolest. drive. EVER. I might add.) some good times and close acquaintances.

Here, it feels more like lasting friendships that can actually handle a few storms, even without being around in person to connect.

When I was 20 I joined an Armenian forum. One day we all decided to meet. So imagine 20 of us at a restaurant at the same time. Back then I didn't know much about the internet and never thought about the dangers of it either, so I went without a care.

After 10 years many of those people are still one of my closet friends. I've almost forgotten how I've meet them.

We have been together in every stage. From dating, marriage to children. We have gone to family funerals. We have helped each other move homes. Gone on trips together, etc.
