Although I like the musical direction of Daft Punk's new album, I think the hit single "Get Lucky" would be even more popular if it was called "Get Funky", and one or two lyrics were changed to make it slightly more family friendly. Given their prior work, I wonder if that wasn't actual title until a focus group or one of the producers convinced them to change funky to lucky. Either way, it's unfortunate, IMO.
Also, I got to hear a great Caribbean jazz band the other week.

Don't know much about Daft Punk, but I liked their work on the Tron movie

They're one of my favorite groups. I don't listen to much electronic/house, but a friend got me into them in the late '90s and I've been hooked ever since. One thing I like about the new album is that they added real instruments this time around, rather than sticking with their typical sampling. Reminds me a little of Jamiroquai.

Listening to Josh Ritter right now. Love him. Too bad he's most popular over in Europe.

I used to listen to a lot of garbage, not paying much attention to the lyrics at all. In the last couple years or so I've become much more picky about lyrics and music in general. After I stopped listening to some of the harder rock songs and started listening to more Christian music I can a difference in my attitude at times.
Not saying all rock or hard rock is bad, but I definately listened to some songs that weren't edifying at all.

I'm listening to Nightwish's Imaginaerum album.
I keep staying up late every night this week listening to music on spotify. Then I end up waking up too early every day. ^_^ But that doesn't change the fact that I want to stay up to listen to music.

Nightwish is one I used to listen to quite frequently. I really love their sound, and the singer, but the lyrics anymore kind of turn me off now.

Have their lyrics changed a lot or do you mean that you just don't like the lyrics in the songs you used to listen to? Also I think now they have two singers. A guy and a girl.

Sorry guys, this is in Filipino so you will not get it unless you translate it. Anyways, this is an old and timeless song. I particularly like this version. I really like acoustic version, in general.
The title is: When all my hair turns grey.
I do not want to be all mushy but this song makes me feel in love. This is a beautiful song about commitment and love, something that is not taken very seriously nowadays.
I often think how nice it would be that this song will be sang to me "when all my hair turns grey." Well, he needs to be a filipino or at least know this filipino song. lol.

So Recently I read that Zakk Wylde the ex Ozzy Osborne guitarist and Current Black label Society front man and guitarist. In an interview called himself "A soldier of Christ".
Don't know what is in the man's heart, but I still thought it was cool of him to say that.

I love it when that happens. This one gave me chills from the first listen. Some of the lyrics, especially the first few lines, are startlingly close to one of my recurring dreams. It's hard to say if the effect wouldn't be similar with different words, but they do make it seem more personally meaningful.

That sounds like a strange/interesting dream.
About ten years ago or so I started writing a book with a friend. And I was listening to music one day and I heard a song that sounded exactly like it was being sung from one character to another, about two other characters. The lyric choices were so close to some things about the characters and their interactions with each other. I don't really know what the real meaning of the song is I suppose.. but it fit in so well (at least when it comes to perspectives of characters... which isn't always the truth as people have their biases and it's hard to see the whole picture sometimes)
